How I Course Correct After Vacation ⛰
It’s summer (aka vacation season) for many of us!!

Vacations tend to come with fun foods, drinks, and potentially less activity than normal which can be a good little break - however, many of us tend to get into a vicious cycle of restricting and overdoing it with cardio to “make up” for it when we get back home.

I recently visited Yosemite so course-correcting after vacation is fresh on my mind and I wanted to give my best tips on how to get back to your normal routine!

A CLUTTERED HOUSE = A CLUTTERED MIND.
Start your week with a freshly cleaned house!

A GAME CHANGER IS TO DO A LOAD OF LAUNDRY A DAY ON VACATION SO YOU DON'T HAVE AS MUCH TO CATCH UP ON WHEN YOU GET HOME.
Ultimately, don't put this off - we know how easily it can pile up!

DON'T OVERDO IT - JUST SIMPLY GET BACK TO IT.
Your body (and mind) will appreciate the normalcy!

I ONCE HEARD A QUOTE, "HOW YOU DO ONE THING IS HOW YOU DO EVERYTHING."
If you allow your car to stay dirty and neglected... what else in your life are you compromising on?

A FULL FRIDGE AND GETTING TO FUELD YOUR BODY WITH NUTRIENT-DENSE FOODS IS SUCH A BLESSING.
Putting in a grocery pick-up order can make this task less time-consuming when you're looking to get a lot done as quickly as possible after vacation!

CLEAR YOUR HEAD AND GET SOME "YOU" TIME.
Vacation can be so fun but also a little stressful and some quiet time outside can help so much mentally, as well as physically! Notice how we're not overdoing it here with drowning on the stairclimber for hours to "make up" for how we handled vacation? We're simply getting back to the game plan - no extremes.

I PERSONALLY LOVE A GOOD CHIROPRACTOR ADJUSTMENT.
I believe it helps so much with preventative healthcare!

THIS ONE MIGHT BY MY TYPE A SELF COMING OUT, BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, FAILING TO PREPARE IS FAILING TO PREPARE.
Schedule in your workouts as you would a doctor’s appointment that you wouldn’t miss!

Vacation is a great time to get some R&R and ultimately, help you appreciate and look forward to your normal routine. If you are fortunate enough to go on one or even have a stay-cation, I hope you enjoy and it can use these tips to get back to the game plan afterwards!

All my best,
Libby
